Sacha Wilson is a Senior Director and founding member of Avalara’s EMEA business, helping companies automate cross-border tax compliance. Prior to joining Avalara in 2014, he spent more than 20 years in e-commerce sales and management at blue-chips such as Amazon, Arcelor-Mittal, British Aerospace and several dotcom start-ups. Over 11 years at Amazon he led various teams involved in growing Amazon’s EU Marketplace as well as launching Fulfilment by Amazon, Amazon Payments and Product Ads. He brings a depth in understanding of ecommerce and the tax issues facing businesses involved in cross-border trade.

Ellen Mikals joined eBay’s third party advertising team in November 2018 having previously been in a commercial partnerships role responsible for contract negotiations in the EU market. Ellen has been in digital advertising industry for over 9 years, and started her career in the online gaming sector helping US businesses establish their presence in Europe.

As a regular seller on eBay, Ellen was excited to join the promoted listings team when the opportunity arose. Her focus is launching new promoted listings products across Europe and working on product enhancements that will help sellers of any size to grow their eBay business.

Robin is a Board level retailer with deep digital experience and a successful track record of driving transformation for brands like Waitrose and Boots. As CEO, Robin is redefining the role of WatchShop as an online B2C brand platform underpinned by our proven in house technology and fulfilment capabilities, which we now provide to third party brands, retailers and marketplaces as an end to end eCommerce service

Initially a graphic designer for over 20 years working in the UK, Australia and Norway, a successful career change led to Optiseller following 9 valuable years of experience working in e-commerce for a marketplace listing management and re-pricing software company. He typically advised eBay, Amazon and Shopify sellers on the strategy and mechanics of areas such as – improving listings, adding suppliers, stock sync, courier integrations and migrating onto international channels. Now working at Optiseller, Paul provides insight and guidance to sellers on following eBay best practice and advising where to prioritise their efforts when improving their listing data and also selling strategy using a combination of experience and product knowledge of the Optiseller tools available, usually through online demos, video content and webinars.

Rick Verma leads Avalara’s marketplace business & team in EMEA. He is responsible for supporting global marketplaces with tax automation solutions and compliance requirements solving crucial tax pain points & barriers to growth faced by marketplaces. Rick has spent the last 10 years in the management consulting, tax and technology space helping businesses of all sizes with their international tax obligations.

With 20 years’ experience across a breadth of ecommerce supply chain and logistics, Irene has been with eBay’s Shipping team since 2014. She has worked extensively on flagship programmes such as Click and Collect, the Global Shipping Programme and tracking services. Operating through significate challenges in her time at eBay, including Brexit and COVID-19, Irene’s steadfast priority has been enabling marketplace sellers to make their inventory available to more buyers globally.

Bianca is a Senior Advertising Specialist on the Advertiser Education team at Amazon Ads, catering to international marketplaces with a focus on the UK. Bianca’s team hosts interactive webinars on every aspect of advertising with Amazon, from topic-specific sessions on keywords and bidding to optimizing and analysing campaigns for success

Emma has been with Mirakl for the last 2 years and started as a Senior Business Consultant for the UK/IE & Nordics. Now Emma is the Global Product Marketing Lead for Mirakl Connect, focusing on Mirakl’s high quality platform that supports sellers to easily onboard onto Mirakl Marketplaces. With over 10 years experience in retail and technology businesses in both start-ups and larger companies, Emma brings extensive B2C experience in business development, marketing and marketplace strategy. Emma carries with her hands-on knowledge on how to create revenue channels through a marketplace model based on expertise and understanding of the industry’s landscape, trends and competitors within EMEA.

Will leads the Fulfilment team at eBay UK, looking after the Seller experience and working closely with partners to help Sellers grow their business.

Callum Campbell is the CEO of Linnworks, a leading SaaS commerce platform that works with brands like Ford, Casio, Belkin and Ten Thousand. As CEO, Callum is responsible for ensuring Linnworks empowers brands to grow their business online. Prior to becoming Linnworks CEO in 2017, Callum founded Autonative, a global automotive ecommerce software and services business, where he currently sits as a board member. Callum earned a first class honors degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Bath. Håkan Thyr is Chief Revenue Officer at Fruugo. He is responsible for accelerating the growth of the Fruugo marketplace by helping more brands and retailers expand internationally with no risk and minimal effort. 

Håkan is an e-commerce veteran who launched his first e-commerce site in 1999 and he has been working in the e-commerce space most of the time since.

Prior to joining Fruugo, he held roles as Partnerships Director at ChannelAdvisor, COO at Firmstep and Partnerships Director at Bazaarvoice. Håkan holds an MSc from Chalmers University.

As Head of Seller Success UK at eBay, Rufus Bazley is responsible for the adoption of promoted listings by Brand, SMBs and Entrepreneurs and their success in generating incremental sales, brand visibility and demonstrating the value that eBay brings to its sellers.

Before joining eBay earlier this year Rufus worked at a number of companies ranging from Affiliate Networks, Advertising Agencies and Tour Operators but most recently at Dynamis the company that own and run BusinessesForSale.com where he was responsible for leading the for SEO, SEM, display, re-targeting, email, CRM, content and brand teams.

Alex leads on global indirect tax at Avalara, leading on engagement with policy and business leaders to develop a tax and compliance environment that will streamline and accelerate commerce for the overall growth of the economy. With over 16 years experience in global VAT and GST and international indirect tax consultancy, Alex has specialised in analysing changing VAT requirements and advising on impact assessment and change management across processes, data and technology.

Scott Needham is an Amazon seller, entrepreneur, and engineer. He founded BuyBoxer, which came to have the largest catalog of Amazon Prime products in the nation. Scott has also had many successful side businesses in the Amazon space, including BuyBoxer Services, a brand growth agency, and a private-label business. In 2020 he created SmartScout, a fresh take on Amazon seller tools that give sellers information such as seller and brand analysis and a breakdown on Amazon’s recommendation engine. As host of the Smartest Amazon Seller podcast, he has been helping others for years learn more about what it takes to succeed in the industry.

Daniela Reyes is a product marketing management professional with international experience of more than 15 years in the ICT industry. As Head of Product Marketing in Octopia she is responsible for deeply knowing our existing and future customers to deliver them with key content and information to help them accelerate their marketplace business. Her extensive B2B experience in product management, go to market strategies and business development are great assets we leverage on to successfully assist retailers and sellers with insights of our comprehensive marketplace solutions.

Al believes that business should be a force for good, and wants the fruit of his life’s work to be in economic development. To achieve this he runs Coconut Merchant, an innovative company that has inclusive business models at its core. As much as possible, Coconut Merchant works directly with farmers, paying above market rates for their produce. Coconut Merchant now has the world’s largest range of coconut products, with listings in major UK supermarkets and distribution in 18 countries, and is due to launch in the US and Australia in Q2 2019. Oscar is a Sr Account Manager at Amazon UK focused on helping UK Selling Partners successfully expand their businesses to Europe leveraging Amazon’s cross-border fulfilment programs.

Zarina Kanji has been leading Tmall Business Development for health, food, and beverage brands at Alibaba UK & Nordics since September 2018.Zarina is responsible for helping brands enter the Chinese market and build their business by connecting them to the more than 650 million annual active consumers on Alibaba’s platforms. She is based in London.

Prior to joining Alibaba, Zarina was Regional Head of Fashion & Sport Brand Partnerships at Lazada Group, Southeast Asia’s leading ecommerce company acquired by Alibaba Group in 2016. She spent the first 10 years of her career as a Buyer for House of Fraser, Ralph Lauren and Jaeger specialising in Luxury womenswear and childrenswear in Europe and the Middle East.

Zarina has a bachelor’s degree in Fashion Marketing and Communications from Nottingham Trent University and has lived in London, Dubai and Singapore.

Rob Stanley, former founder of two successful 7-Figure online eCommerce brands with 20+ years of experience in eCommerce and marketing. Stanley is also a successful Podcast host, a YouTube certified expert with a previous channel that had over 48 million views, a China sourcing expert who has visited over 100+ China factories, Google Adwords certified, and has sold on eBay since 1998. Riccardo also spent 2 years with EQT Ventures as a Venture Capital investor investing in early-stage startups. Before that he was with Merrill Lynch in the M&A team advising technology companies on capital market activities. Riccardo is driving Heroes’ growth via acquisitions.
